Master Builders Privacy Policy Statement
Master Builders Australia Limited (MBA), the
organisation representing the interests of the various
Master Builders Associations, is subject to the Privacy
Act.
MBA has prepared this statement to inform
you about its policy for maintaining the confidentiality
of the personal information it collects and holds. MBA’s
policy may be amended from time to time.
In the course of conducting its business,
MBA will collect and hold (even if only temporarily)
any personal information you provide to it. ‘Personal
information’ is information which allows you to
be individually identified by a third party.
When you access MBA’s website your
identify is not disclosed to it and, because the website
does not contain “web bugs” or “cookies”,
no personal information is collected about you.
However MBA’s Internet server may
automatically record the IP address, domain name and
browser type details of the computer you use to access
its website, the date and time of your access and details
of the information you download.
This information is only used for internal
statistical purposes and to improve the website’s
content.
MBA will use your personal information
to provide its services to you and for its internal
business operations, primarily the fulfillment of any
legal obligations it owes to third parties. MBA may

MBA takes reasonable steps to protect
all information it holds, including your personal information,

and MBA’s staff are subject to confidentiality

destroy information it no longer needs to hold.
Unless the Privacy Act’s National
Privacy Principles do not allow it, you may request
access to any personal information which MBA holds about
you at any time. MBA may charge you a fee for this access.
