Our vision offers both a social policy objective and a strategy for training Australians and providing meaningful career pathways. The policy aim is to ensure the availability of a flexible skilled labour force in the building and construction industry.

Energy Efficient Home Package – Ceiling Insulation - Training

This Department of Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) program comprises two parts and will run until December 2011:

Homeowner Insulation Program

The Homeowner Insulation Program provides assistance of up to $1,200 to install ceiling insulation in the homes of eligible owner-occupiers.

Installers must be registered with DEWHA and must meet competency requirements to register and install insulation They must also hold specified insurance and agree to the Terms and Conditions of Registration.

The following Master Builders associations are providing DEWHA approved training to meet registration and occupational health and safety requirements and/or improve the skills of the installation workforce and address risk management for businesses.
