Heritage Landmark Transformed To Boutique Hotel 

Built wins National Award for Perth's Old Treasury Building

Perth is learning the lessons of living history from cities such as Melbourne. The restoration of the Old Treasury Building is just the latest example and it won Built the National Commercial Historic Restoration/Renovation Award at Master Builders Australia's National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.

Built's major refurbishment transformed and revived the historic site into the luxurious 5 star boutique hotel Como The Treasury located in Perth's newly revived 'State Buildings' precinct a welcome and much needed addition to the city's food, wine and lifestyle profile. 

Features of this outstanding restoration and renovation include an integrated glass top restaurant and luxurious bathrooms. Extensive other works included the painstaking restoration of all heritage elements including the original jarrah floor, slate roof including sourcing new tiles from England, the juliet balconies, dormer windows, mansard roofs and the stunning postal hall area. 

The result showcases Built's highest calibre workmanship and attention to detail and the project truly deserved the national accolades it received.
