Master Buidlers Australia’s CEO Denita Wawn appeared on the Credlin program on Sky News to discuss allegations that the CFMMEU Qld Branch has hijacked safety in pursuit of industrial aims.

In New Sout Wales, Master Builders NSW has also accused CFMMEU state branch of concocting specious safety concerns in order to access construction sites to bully contractors and subcontractors to sign up to the union’s pattern EBA. At a time when the safety of workers and the community requires the industry to working responsibly and collaboratively to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols the union’s alleged hijacking of safety in pursuit of its industrial agenda, particularly trying to lock the industry into an EBA with wage rises three times greater than the latest minumum wage rise is unacceptable.
