Dan Perkins (Western Australia)
National President, Master Builders Australia

Dan joined the National Board in 2003 and currently serves as President. He is a former President of the Master Builders Association of Western Australia (2003 – 2005) and a current member of the Master Builders Western Australia’s Council of Management. Dan is Managing Director of Perkins Builders, a commercial construction company who over 50 years of operation has built a reputation for high-quality construction on a diverse range of projects.  Dan is also Managing Director of Commercial Aquatics Australia which specialises in the design and construction of aquatic facilities nationwide and Director of Perkins Total Project Delivery (TPD), a commercial construction company offering sophisticated design and project management skills on unique projects.

Hedley Davis (Victoria)
Deputy President, Master Builders Australia

Hedley joined the National Board in 2012 and is a Past President of the Master Builders Association of Victoria. He is an experienced executive with over 25 years of senior management experience in the building, civil infrastructure and mining services sectors. His broad experience includes national profit and loss responsibilities with some of the largest contractors in Australia. Most recently, Hedley was National General Manager of Civil and Mining for Watpac Constructions and today consults to a number of contractors within the industry.

Simon Butt (Australian Capital Territory)
Treasurer, Master Builders Australia

Simon has over 30 years’ experience working in construction and project management roles and has also served as a Company Director for 20 years. Simon is the Chief Executive Officer of Manteena, a Canberra based company, which has successfully completed construction projects in Canberra, across Australia and internationally in 23 Countries. He has been involved in the Master Builders Association in the ACT for many years and first commenced on the National Board in 2012. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building, Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Project Management.

Trevor Evans (Victoria)
Immediate Past President, Master Builders Australia

Trevor joined the National Board in 2009 and has served as Chair of the Finance Committee. Trevor was elected National President of Master Builders Australia Ltd in November 2013.  He is a Past President of the Master Builders Association of Victoria. He has over 45 years’ experience in the building and construction industry spanning across residential building, commercial construction, heavy industrial projects and major civil works. He has managed his own commercial construction company Becon Constructions for more than 28 years. Trevor is a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building.

 
Richard Bryant (South Australia)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Richard joined the National Board in 2015 and is currently the President of Master Builder South Australia. Richard has 30 years’ executive experience which includes managing three residential building firms as well as a national civil engineering business providing services to the building industry.  He has held Board of Director positions in both commercial and not for profit organisations. He is currently General Manager SA for Metricon Homes where he established the SA state business in 2010.  Richard’s qualifications include a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and an Master of Business Administration.  Richard is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

 
Craig Edmunds (Tasmania)
Director,Master Builders Australia

Craig joined the National Board in 2015 and is currently serving as President of Master Builders Tasmania. With more than 30 years in the construction industry, Craig is the CEO and Managing Director of Fairbrother Pty Ltd, a construction company with offices across Tasmania and Victoria. For more than 40 years, Fairbrother has undertaken diverse commercial, industrial and joinery projects nationally. Craig is the Deputy Chairperson of the Tasmanian Building and Construction Training Board, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Chairman of Degree C, a Tasmanian multi-disciplined building services company.

Dick Guit (Northern Territory)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Dick joined the National Board in 2014. He is currently President of Master Builders Northern Territory.  Dick commenced as General Manager with Sitzler Pty Ltd in 2012 following an 18 year career as Laing O’Rourke’s Northern Territory Manager. He has over 45 years of experience in the building and construction industry. His roles have included Project Management of a wide variety of projects, Construction Management of significant military installations and regional management of multinational organisations.  

Nick Herron (Queensland)
Director, Master Builders Australia

As Managing Director of Herron Coorey, Brisbane, Nick has an impressive track record with 25 years’ industry experience under his belt. Prior to establishing Herron Coorey Building Contractors, he worked for numerous high profile construction firms, including Badge Constructions, Fletcher Construction Australia and Jennings Construction Services. Joining Master Builders Queensland's Executive team in December 2012, Nick has been a State Councillor since 2004, and a member of both the Construction Sector Committee and Contracts Committee since 2001.  

Tim Mead (Tasmania)
Extraordinary Board Member, Master Builders Australia

Tim joined the National Board in November 2013 and is Immediate Past President of Master Builders Tasmania and a member of the MBT Tasmania North West Region Management Committee. He is currently Chairman of Master Builders Australia's Training Committee.  As Managing Director of Mead Con, a Construction company based in Devonport on the North West Coast of Tasmania, Tim operates the business with his wife Vonette, conducting works across Tasmania in the Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Civil sectors.

 

 
Ross Mitchell (New South Wales)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Ross joined the National Board in 2017 and is currently the President of Master Builders NSW where he has previously represented the interests of specialist contractors on the Association’s Council of Management and served on the Executive Committee of the Sydney Division. He has previously served as President of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association and held a position on the SafeWork NSW Demolition Asbestos Consultative Committee. He has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial construction and contracting and is Major Partner and Director of the RMA Group, a national provider of specialist contracting services including commercial construction, environmental remediation, specialist demolition, asbestos and hazardous material removal and waste management. Ross is also Chair of the Bethanga Region Country Fire Authority.

Robert Shaw (Western Australia)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Robert joined the National Board in 2015 and is a member of the National Residential Builders Council.  He is Past President and a current Board member of the Master Builders Association of Western Australia. Robert has been involved with the Master Builders Association of Western Australia for the past 12 years, Chairing their Housing Council for seven years. Robert has worked in the building and construction industry for the past 37 years. He is a director of Daly and Shaw Building Pty Ltd which specialises in residential unit development and homes, currently building between 100 and 150 dwellings per year.

 
PETER DI PRINZIO (Newcastle)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Peter is the immediate past President of the Master Builders Association Newcastle (2014-2016) joining the National Board in 2016. He is a knowledgeable professional with over 45 years of experience within the building and construction industry. Peter is Managing Director of his family owned and operated concreting company Di Prinzio Concreting Pty Ltd which specialises in high rise concrete construction, multi level residential projects and major government contracts including schools, hospitals & police stations throughout the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Central Coast Regions.

 
Greg Zuccala (Victoria)
Director, Master Builders Australia

Greg joined the National Board in 2015 and is the Immediate Past President of the Master Builders Association of Victoria. He has over 30 years experience as a Director of family-owned residential builder, Zuccala Homes, which was founded by his father, Vic in 1957. Greg’s extensive experience in the domestic building sector includes design & construct of volume, detached green-fields estate homes, development of medium density multi – residential units including the development and subdivision of residential land throughout metropolitan Melbourne.

Wilhelm Harnisch
Chief Executive Officer

Wilhelm joined the National Board in 2002 when he was appointed as National CEO. Prior to this appointment he was the Deputy CEO and Chief Economist with Master Builders Australia. Wilhelm has extensive experience in the building and construction industry spanning for more than 30 years in the public and private sectors.
